Drum Line

“Drumline” is a movie about music. This movie is a story that is about  the marching band in A&T University. The chief character's name is Devon Miles. He has a talent for playing the drums. It can see in all the scenes where he plays a snare drum. Because of his talent, he was recurited by Dr. Lee who is a band conductor of A&T. Tought he surely he has a special talent, he did not have sense of cooperation and was selfish all the time. If you watch this movie, you can see the figure that he matures into. OK. Let’s go into this story.

  Marching band is one of the most exciting kind of music group for me because I had an overwhelmingly cool memory if it and was a brass band member in a high school, I longed for marching band. Marching band does a performance between the halftime called 12 minutes. It is art and life. In other words, it is all a performance. Many people love marching band in America.

  What did you think about music that was playing in this movie? This music is was groovy and funk and because I liked R&B of the 1990s, I thought that it was a splendid selection of music. This area is related and black music affects this music because it is this story in the southern part of the US. Anyway this BGM is great!!

 First there is the favorite scene. This movie start from a scene that he joined his graduation day. He had to play as a drummer of school brass band.  Because he was playing it and got tired, we plotted what he makes the song of graduation ceremony POP. The plot was success and the graduation ceremony got exciting to thank for him. I understood that music changed if a person playing changed little rhythm.

 Devon dealt with an obstacle. The obstacle was that he could not read music. He has a wonderful talent but could not do the basics. He was dropped from the team for this. Many people thought Devon would go to MBU after dropping out of ATU. However he faced his weak point and was able to conquer it with  his friends. Time passed and a marching band tournament was held and ATU fought MBU in the final. There was little difference in was a close battle. And ATU won!!!!!! The performance was exciting and wonderful!! I thought that it was very good to watch this movie.
